HOW TO USE THE

GIT-R-DOWN

FISH RELEASE

Step 1

Hooking Device To Fish

Support weight and grab release as shown above which holds the interior shaft up in main body and keeps jaws open.

Place fishes lip into release device jaws.

(Release jaws should be past the main jaw bone and rest

behind the fishes lip in the thin area behind fishes main jaw bone.)

When positioned correctly, release grip on the inner

shaft and allow the weight to pull it out completely

which will close the jaws on the device and

hold the fish securely.

Move fish and device over the water and grab line.

Slowly lower the device and fish into water

by hand until the line from either the

handline, downrigger or rod and reel

(whichever you decide to use)

is tight and supporting device and fish.

Step 2

Lower device and fish back to the bottom where

the device will automatically release the fish

when the weight hits the bottom and allows the

inner shaft to retract and open the jaws.

Step 3

Reel release back to surface

 What happens during use

This process is very easy to do and can even be learned by children very quickly.

We have done extensive testing before offering this product and we guarantee it to work exactly as described. We are also confident that this release device will save thousands of fish throughout the world. We are the stewards of our sport and industry. It is up to us to keep our fisheries strong. This device can be a major part of doing that.

FISHING LINE USED

As an added tip we would like to inform our clients that 150# test Power Pro fishing line was used on our downriggers and fishing rods for all testing.  We found that this was a great way to insure that we had plenty of line on them for deep release situations.  As an added benefit we found that using Power Pro line on our release downrigger was so beneficial that we started using it on all of our downriggers as it had many advantages over SS cable such as no electrostatic charge or "hum" and virtually no lost gear or fish because of fish wrapping around the downrigger line and cutting or breaking off.

We wish to thank Power Pro for their help in the research and developement of this device.
